Dear Nancy,

Thank you for all your assistance with locating the new facility for my mother. She has now been there for three months and is doing so much better than she had been for the last six years.

My mother's health had declined in recent years and she needed more individual care, something her prior home could not provide.

My mother is a wonderful, pleasant lady, always smiling, but very frail and cannot be left alone. My concerns were that our budget was very small and I really wasn't sure if I would be able to find the level of care she needs on a limited income.

My mother's doctor at her HMO put me in touch with the Social Services Dept.; they provided a list of names, one of which was yours. By the time I called you, I was feeling very discouraged since one referral service had already told me that on our budget we might not be able to find a suitable facility.

You were very upbeat and had the confidence in your ability to find the right place for my mother. That confidence on your part, Nancy, gave me the outlook I very much needed at that moment in my life. You called back within 24 hours with not one, but two places to consider.

Then you went and visited with my mother, and visited each place you had found; you called me with an evaluation of which facility you felt would best serve my mother and her needs. We made an appointment, I met with you, and we went to look at the residence. It was a clean, nice environment and I very much enjoyed the care workers that I met who would be taking care of my mother. Even better it was close to my own home, which was very convenient.

My mother moved in within two weeks. Now when I go to see her she is smiling, has a much better frame of mind, and has her own private little room, which she did not have before. She is out in the living room much more, up and around enjoying the company of the other residents who live there. It's like night and day compared to where she was before. She is a much happier lady.

Thank you so much, Nancy, for helping me at a time in my life when I wasn't sure where to turn. I would highly recommend your services to anyone who is facing a situation such as I was. You were right there, leading the way. When I wasn't sure which way to turn, you came up with the answers in a timely manner. Best of all, you genuinely cared.
